Allegations of Irregularities Surface Against EY Personnel in Rajasthan Government Projects

Jaipur, Rajasthan — Serious allegations of irregular conduct have emerged against certain senior officials of global consultancy firm Ernst & Young (EY) who have been associated with multiple government projects in Rajasthan. According to official representations received by various departments, the individuals named include Siddharth Dutta, Akhilesh Saurakhia, and Gitesh Gunjan. Calls for a formal investigation are gaining momentum.

As per the complaints, Siddharth Dutta, associated with the Chief Minister’s Service Delivery Project, has been accused of sharing confidential information with external parties and influencing financial transactions. The representations allege that Dutta provided sensitive project-related data to unauthorized individuals and attempted to intervene for undue financial gains. These claims, however, have not yet been confirmed by authorities.

Similarly, Akhilesh Saurakhia has been accused of engaging in unauthorized negotiations with government officials to secure project-related advantages. The complaints further mention that Saurakhia and his team member, Aditya Goyal, allegedly used intimidation tactics and pressured employees of other organizations. Some officers from the BIP department have reportedly acknowledged receiving information related to these incidents.

In separate complaints submitted to the Skills Development Department, Gitesh Gunjan has been accused of influencing the bidding process. According to complainants, Gunjan allegedly offered inducements to alter bid evaluations, resulting in a reported change of around 11 points in the scoring—potentially affecting the tender outcome.

Multiple media organizations have reached out to the concerned departments seeking statements on the matter. Civil groups and stakeholders have also demanded the formation of an independent inquiry committee to examine the allegations transparently and determine whether procedural norms were violated.

So far, neither EY nor the individuals named in the complaints have issued any public response. Officials maintain that the truth will emerge only after a thorough departmental review and formal investigation.
